Description

Several NASA/GRC personnel will be attending the 46th AIAA/ASME/SAE/ASEE Joint Propulsion Conference and Exhibit Industry Conference in Nashville, TN from July 25, 2010 through July 28, 2010.

NASA/GRC intends to purchase this sponsorship from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics in Reston, VA who will be hosting this conference/training session.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procdures set forth in Far Part 13.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on February 1, 2010. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.

The Sole Source is under the authority of FAR reference 12.-106-1(b)1.

Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.

An Ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B".
